Affirmation: I strive to be proactive each day

affirmations Jan 22, 2022

I can never be sure of what each day holds for me. Occasionally, events arise outside of my power. Other times, I am engaged in what takes place.

At times I can circumvent the development of challenging situations. Since there are occasions where my behavior and choices make a difference, I try to be proactive.

Being proactive means taking control by doing something at the moment instead of waiting until the situation unfolds.

I try to stay on top of situations that can complicate my day. Trying to do everything I can to prevent or lessen negative happenings is crucial to me.

Something as simple as speaking clearly to others in a timely fashion is often the best step I take to be proactive. I recognize my power to affect events with my family, friends, and coworkers.

As long as I consider my surroundings and stay in tune with the individuals in my immediate environment, I can take action to bypass a problematic situation that may develop.

Affirmation: I can achieve financial stability

affirmations Jan 15, 2022

Financial stability is one of my goals in life. I believe I can attain it honestly by working hard. However, the hard work required for financial achievement is easy for me. When I focus on my end goal, the work necessary to get there seems effortless.

Planning my future contributes to my financial goal. I set targets for 5 and 10 years down the line. I commit to savings and investments based on those targets.

When I set a monthly savings goal, I stick to that commitment. I know that building for tomorrow is more important than taking care of today's wants.

I allow myself to partake in frivolous spending once in a while. I believe that enjoyment of what I have acquired only encourages me to keep working for more.

My life goals are prioritized based on long-term desires. I remain unperturbed by the achievements of others in the present. The experiences of others are unique.

I look forward to my celebration at the targeted times.

3 Practical Tips for Living Your Best Year

life coaching Dec 30, 2021

Can you believe that we are at the end of 2021? I am sure I feel like most when I say that it does not even feel possible that we are already done with 2021 because it seems like yesterday was 2019, and then 2020 lasted for years. But even still, this is typically the time we set aside to claim the New Year as our year to do "ABC"!

We make our list of resolutions and promises to hit it hard on January 1st. But then what usually happens is we get overwhelmed, burnt out, and give up before February 1st. As someone that has been setting goals for a very long time, I wanted to share with you my process of setting goals and achieving those goals.

But I also want you to know that there are many goals that I end up not completing in a year, as well as there are many goals that I end up realizing halfway through the year are no longer relevant goals - and that's 100% okay. It is okay to recognize that a goal you set is no longer realistic for your current situation or is just simply not a...

Sharing a Grateful Heart: Celebrating a Grateful New Year

spirituality Dec 26, 2021

We all love a fresh new year. New Year’s Day always seems so special. It is a point to let go of the past year, past mistakes, and regrets, then move on to a fresh new slate. Our hopes are high with new goals and beginnings.

We are focused on new things and making them work in the new year. Some of us make new year resolutions and promise ourselves we will commit to them without fail.

We are full-on excited about the new days ahead, and then we fall off the wall of resolution and back to our old ways. We tell ourselves we will try again in 6 months, which turns into the next new year. We ride this cycle every year, and every year we only get it half done.

I want to urge you to keep reading because this may be the year that you stop the cycle, get off the merry-go-round, and thrive with success. I invite you to look at the new year that is coming with a different set of eyes or a different heart tone.

This new tone of the heart is a heart of...

Merry Christmas! Affirmation: I Enjoy the Magic of Christmas

affirmations Dec 25, 2021

I love seeing the enthusiasm in people's faces at Christmas time. I even enjoy all the hustle and bustle of preparing special foods, decorating the house and yard, and beautifully wrapping gifts. My desire is to enjoy the blessings of family, friends, and shared love.

I love to give gifts. I greatly anticipate the reaction of my loved ones when they open the present. Those are gratifying times when I am more blessed to give than to receive.

I relish seeing the transformation from routine to magical. I adore all the lights. I love the decorations. I have a weakness for the aromas in the air. I am captivated by the magic of Christmas.

The Christmas season helps me to appreciate how important it is for me to celebrate life. Too often, I get caught up in day-to day-activities and routines. It is good that I can pull myself out of the 'doing' and permit myself to be like a child for a minute.

I love seeing all the new decorations that creative...

Affirmation: I Make a Merry and Bright Holiday

affirmations Dec 11, 2021

Today many people substitute the word holiday for Christmas. However, even holiday is a religious rooted word, though not as distinct to Christianity. It is a compound word composed of 'holy' and 'day'. As it should be, a holiday is a day set apart for religious remembrances. So saying happy holidays to someone is an expression of a wish that they enjoy the religious commemoration.

If I want to relish the holidays, I must make it a positive season. I refuse to let old beliefs of stress and obligation cloud my views.

The holiday season is a distinct time for being with family and friends, giving meaningful gifts, and sharing love for each other. I embrace the holiday with arms open wide.

I listen to my favorite Christmas music to set the mood. I hum and sing my favorite songs. I watch my favorite holiday movies. I have fun baking for my friends and neighbors and smelling the scents of the season.

Instead of complaining about the lines at...

I reach out to someone who I would usually overlook. I make a new friend when I chat with a stranger on the bus. I feel friendlier towards a coworker after we collaborate on redecorating our cubicles.

I respond differently...
