✨ What Are Truth Declarations?

Truth Declarations are Scripture-based statements that align your thoughts and words with God’s promises. They help renew the mind, silence lies, and strengthen faith. When you speak God’s truth out loud, you replace doubt with confidence, fear with peace, and confusion with clarity. Each declaration is a step toward living fully in the Truth Mindset™—anchored in the Word, led by the Spirit, and walking in freedom.

📖 “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God.” — Luke 17:15 KJV

🌿 Introduction: Turning Back to Give Thanks

Gratitude is more than a feeling — it is a choice.

In Luke 17, ten lepers cried out to Jesus for mercy. He healed them all, yet only one returned to say thank you. Ten received a miracle, but only one was transformed by gratitude.

That one simple act — turning back — became a testimony that has echoed through centuries. Gratitude has the power to change not only our circumstances but also the condition of our hearts.

💭 The Lie: “I Deserve This”

Our culture often confuses blessings with entitlement. The lie whispers: “I’ve worked hard, I deserve this.”

But entitlement extinguishes gratitude. It blinds us to grace. The truth is that everything we have is a gift — breath, provision, relationships, opportunities, even the ability to serve.

📖 “For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive?” — 1 Corinthians 4:7 KJV

When we choose gratitude, we acknowledge God as the source of every good thing.

🌸 The Truth: Gratitude Multiplies Joy

When the one leper turned back, Jesus asked, “Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?” (Luke 17:17 KJV).
He noticed the difference gratitude makes.

The nine were healed outwardly; the one who gave thanks was healed inwardly. Gratitude completes the miracle.

When we turn back to thank God, joy multiplies — because thanksgiving deepens relationship. Gratitude is the bridge that turns answered prayers into abiding praise.

📖 “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.” — Psalm 105:1 KJV

💡 The Coaching Connection: The Power of Perspective

In coaching, perspective determines progress. Gratitude transforms how we view challenges, success, and even setbacks.

As Christian women, we can intentionally cultivate thankfulness by practicing three key mindset shifts:

  1. Notice the blessing, not the burden. Each day, identify one thing that went right — no matter how small.

  2. Replace comparison with contentment. Focus on your journey, not someone else’s highlight reel.

  3. Express thanks out loud. Speak gratitude to God, family, and friends. Words of appreciation build connection and joy.

Zig Ziglar said it perfectly:

“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.”

💬 Truth Declaration

“I turn back to give thanks for what God has done. My heart overflows with gratitude that draws me closer to Him.”

📖 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” — Psalm 100:4 KJV

🌿 Life Lesson from the Ten Lepers

The healed leper who returned was not just thankful — he was intentional.

He stopped, turned back, and glorified God with a loud voice. Gratitude moved him to action.

Likewise, our gratitude should not stay silent. It should overflow through worship, kindness, and service.
When we remember to thank God, our hearts stay tender, and our faith stays strong.

🌸 Coaching Reflection

Take a few minutes to reflect:

  • What blessings have I received that I have not yet thanked God for?

  • Who in my life do I need to thank or encourage today?

  • How can I turn back and glorify God with my words and actions?

Write one Truth Declaration to anchor your week in gratitude.

✨ A Closing Encouragement

In life and in leadership, gratitude is contagious. When you choose to thank God, others are inspired to do the same.

You can be the one who turns back — the one who lifts her voice in praise, the one who remembers that every blessing points to the Giver.

And as you do, your heart will overflow with peace, purpose, and joy that endures.

📖 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV

✨ How to Create Your Own Truth Declarations

Truth Declarations are powerful when they become personal. Here’s how you can begin creating your own and live daily in alignment with God’s Word using the T.R.U.T.H. Mindset™ Framework:

T – Target the Lie (Awareness)
Identify the lie or limiting belief that is holding you back. Ask, “What thought or fear is keeping me from peace, confidence, or obedience to God?”

R – Replace with Scripture (Anchor)
Find a verse in the King James Version (KJV) that reveals God’s truth about that lie. His Word is your foundation and anchor.

U – Understand Its Meaning (Alignment)
Reflect on what that verse means for you personally. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring understanding and show how it applies to your situation.

T – Turn It into a Declaration (Activation)
Turn the verse into a personal statement of truth. Speak it in the present tense—boldly, as though it is already true. Example:

“I am strong and courageous, for the Lord is with me.” (Joshua 1:9)

H – Hold It in Prayer (Abide)
Speak your declaration during prayer and throughout the day. As you abide in truth, your mind renews, your faith strengthens, and your heart aligns with God’s promises.

💬 Example:

  • Lie: “I am not enough.”

  • Scripture: Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

  • Truth Declaration: “Through Christ, I am fully equipped and strengthened to do what God has called me to do.”

Repeat your declarations daily until truth becomes your default thought pattern.
Remember—your words are seeds. Speak life, plant truth, and watch transformation grow. 🌿
